Jeeno Thitikul won her 10th career LPGA Tour victory with a one stroke win over Chanettee Wannasaen and Arpichaya Yubol at the Standard Portland Classic.
“The only things that is in my mind is I have to make birdies. I feel like its just a course that only answer is like you need to make as much as you can to be able to hoist the trophy,” said Thitikul.
She was successful at that strategy early and often, looking on the front nine like she may have a chance at a 59. Thitikul made birdies on six of her first seven holes before ending her front nine with a bogey.
Thitikul made up for that dropped shot immediately though, with a long putt made for eagle on the par 5 10th. A poor bunker shot led to a bogey on 12, but the No. 2 player in the world was flawless down the stretch, making two more birdies coming in without any more dropped shots.
While it was an impressive come-from-behind for the Thai superstar, who was two back coming into the day, her countrywoman Wannasaen was the one who made the biggest run of the day. In 2023 at this very same event, Wannasaen won with a 62, and almost did it again. She shot 63 Sunday with eight birdies on her last 12 holes.
Yubol played solid, keeping pressure on Thitikul on the way to her third runner-up finish on the season. Two of those losses have been to the top two players in the Rolex Rankings, Nelly Korda and Thitikul.
With the win from Thitikul, she becomes the eighth player since 1980 to reach 10 wins before 24. She is just two wins away from tying Ariya Jutanugarn for most wins from a Thai player. She is also the second player, after Nelly Korda, to win three times in 2026.
