Anna Morgan of Furman, the No. 46 amateur in the world, defeated a strong field of competitors to win the 2024 Purdue Puerto Rico Classic with a total score of -10 206.
Despite Furman finishing in 11th place in the team event, Anna Morgan was dominant all week, but especially in the final round. Trailing Kansas State’s Carla Bernat by one stroke heading into Tuesday, Morgan put on a show, shooting a -5 67.
Morgan was consistent still consistent all week, under par in all three rounds. In her first round, she shot a -4 68, which included birdies on her last two holes.
Bernat finished in third place with bogeys on two of her final three holes, including the par 5 18.
World No. 1 amateur Ingrid Lindblad was in the field for LSU, and finished runner-up after a strong -4 final round.
