The newest edition of the Rolex Rankings are out, and there were some big, important changes after a big week in women’s golf. Here are the biggest moves in the new Rolex Rankings:
- Jeeno Thitikul stayed at the top of the Rolex Rankings, as she has for the better part of the last 365 days, but Nelly Korda’s strong recent results have moved her much closer and within reasonable range to catch up to Thitikul. Just three weeks ago, Thitikul led Korda in average points 11.54 to 6.76. Now, she leads Korda just 10.50 to 9.22.
- Not surprisingly, Lauren Coughlin had a big jump after her big win against a stacked field in Las Vegas. She moved up 20 spots to No. 12 in the world. She is now the second highest ranked American in the world.
- Carlota Ciganda’s first good result on the LPGA Tour this year resulted in a nice move, going up three spots to No. 34 in the Rolex Rankings.
- Nanna Koerstz Madsen may have had a rough finish to her week, but she still moved up 10 spots into the top 50 in the world, which could be a huge result come time for the Solheim Cup.
- Leona Maguire was the biggest mover after tying for second in Las Vegas with Nelly Korda. She moved into the top 100, jumping 53 spots to No. 62. Once again, for a player who previously was on a Solheim Cup bubble, this is a massive boost for the Irish woman.
- Jiwon Ko won on the KLPGA this week, resulting in a 20 spot jump to No. 63.
- Karis Davidson is playing the best golf of her career, moving up 43 to No. 83 in the Rolex Rankings.
