The newest Rolex Rankings are out, let’s take a look at the biggest movers after a busy week in women’s golf:
- Perhaps the biggest news to come out of this week’s Rolex Rankings comes deep down the list. Rose Zhang’s 12th place finish in Cincinnati moved her up 11 spots to No. 71. That is significant because the top 75 in next week’s rankings get into the U.S. Women’s Open, which she hadn’t previously been qualified for. With four spots of wiggle room and no LPGA Tour event this week, five spots would be a lot to move down, but it isn’t exactly impossible. Still, it looks, for now, like the Los Angeles native, and one of the most popular players on the Tour, will be playing in her hometown at the second major of the season.
- Lottie Woad jumped five spots to enter the top five of the Rolex Rankings after her second LPGA Tour win, the highest placement of her young career. Woad is now the highest ranked European in the world. England is the only country in the world with two top seven players in the Rolex Rankings with Charley Hull ranked No. 7.
- Nelly Korda and Jeeno Thitikul remain the top two ranked players, where they have stood since March 2025, and it doesn’t appear to be stopping any time soon. The last time either of them were outside the top five, was November 2024 when Thitikul was ranked No. 7. Inarguably the two most dominant figures in the game right now.
- Because of some weird quirks, Miyu Yamashita, who finished third on the LPGA Tour this weekend, actually moved down a spot. It was just from No. 7 to No. 8, but still interesting how a high finish doesn’t necessarily guarantee a player keeps their position.
- Jennifer Kupcho moved up five spots to No. 24 in the Rolex Rankings, which strengthens her Solheim Cup prospects. She is now the fifth highest ranked American in the world behind Korda, Lauren Coughlin, Angel Yin and Auston Kim.
- Casandra Alxander moved up five spots to No. 34 in the Rolex Rankings with her continued strong play on the Ladies European Tour. Do not count her out of the major championships in 2026.
- Jin Young Ko re-entered the top 50 in the Rolex Rankings after her strong showing in Cincinnati, she is now No. 44 after moving up seven spots.
