The LPGA Tour is back this week for the JM Eagle LA Championship, played at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana, Calif. Here are some of the odds to target, and some of the odds to be more skeptical of.
Odds to Target:
Hannah Green – +2000 – Hannah Green is one of the hottest players in the world right now, with three wins in her last four worldwide starts and four top-10 finishes already this year. She also has a lot of great experience in Los Angeles, with two wins in this event at Wilshire Country Club. Even last year at El Cab, she finished in the top 10 with four rounds in the 60s.
Lauren Coughlin – +3500 – Coughlin is a week removed from one of the most impressive LPGA Tour performances in recent memory, winning by a dominant five strokes at Shadow Creek. I see no reason for her to not play well once again, especially when she finished third here at El Cab in 2025.
Esther Henseleit – +5500 – Henseleit missed her last cut in Las Vegas, but overall, she has been rock solid in 2026. Henseleit already has three top-12 finishes on the season and is returning to one of the courses she played the best last year, finishing in third. It is risky picking someone to win for the first time on the LPGA Tour, but Henseleit should have a good chance here.
Odds to be Skeptical of:
Sei Young Kim – +2000 – Kim got off to a hot start on this course last year, but struggled on the weekend with a couple of over par rounds to finish. After a decent start to the season, Kim has had a couple below average rounds in a row. Kim can shoot super low scores at any time, but be skeptical of it.
Ruoning Yin – +2800 – Yin is coming off her best performance of the year in Las Vegas with a top-10 finish. Before that though, her last top 10 on the LPGA Tour was at last year’s U.S. Women’s Open. Yin is obviously a threat at all times, but I need to see more consistency for me to begin picking her.
Haeran Ryu – +2500 – Before the event in Arizona, Ryu was running on six consecutive top-10 finishes. Her game hasn’t looked as strong the last couple weeks though and this course wasn’t exactly friendly to her last year, where she had a missed cut and a 74 in the opening round.
