The Friday Foursomes of the 2026 Curtis Cup are about to tee off. Here are our predictions for the three matches
2:10 – Asterisk Talley and Kiara Romero vs Beth Coulter and Isla McDonald-O’Brien
This appears to be pretty straight forward. Romero and Talley were very impressive as a team in session one. They are long and play with a ton of chemistry. I like the way their games come together and they both seem like the most loose players on either roster. Coulter and McDonald-O’Brien are coming in fresh, but that also begs the question if they are coming in cold.
Prediction – United States full point
2:21 – Anna Davis and Kelly Xu vs Charlotte Naughton and Nellie Ong
Both of these teams fell behind early in the first round, but rallied back to force their matches to go to at least 17. Xu struggled late, which makes me think that there’s a plan for her in foursomes that she is being sent back out. Nellie Ong had some great moments late in the round, so I think we are in a fairly even place.
Prediction – Halve
2:32 – Farah O’Keefe and Avery Weed vs Patience Rhodes and Sophia Fullbrook
Instinct says to pick Farah O’Keefe and not put too much thought into it, but Rhodes and Fullbrook were really great, especially early. They will need a big lead again, because O’Keefe’s clutch play isn’t something I would want to tempt fate with. I think this will be another pretty great match though, with Weed coming in cold being another thing to look out for.
