The Solheim Cup teams are all set with the finalization of the American team Monday. Over the next two weeks leading into the competition, we will rank all 24 players in the Solheim Cup for both teams, starting today with Mimi Rhodes:
The first player on the countdown is the young, 24-year-old LPGA Tour rookie Mimi Rhodes, who is from England and played her college golf at Wake Forest, where she won a National Championship. Don’t be fooled by the low ranking though, Rhodes brings a lot of upside.
Rhodes built up quite the resumé in 2025, her breakout season on the LET. In that year, she won three times in the first half of the year in Australia, South Africa and the Netherlands. Right away, it is obvious that Rhodes isn’t your typical No. 24 player in a ranking. She has dominant talent.
Rhodes is ranked here mostly because of her recent form. In her last seven LPGA Tour starts, she has missed four cuts and her best finish is outside the top 35. In her 18 starts in 2026, she has missed half of her cuts and has only two individual finishes in the top 30.
It isn’t all bad news for Rhodes, she did get off to a good start this year. She had two top-10 finishes in her first three starts and performed pretty well in the Dow Championship as well. She currently ranks No. 100 in the Race to the CME Globe Standings.
Rhodes is losing strokes on the field this season, but she is a strong ball striker. She is top 75 both off the tee and on approach. A concern is her round four scoring average, which is two strokes higher than what she shoots in any other round. Final round pressure is nothing compared to Solheim Cup pressure.
This, like a couple other European players, was a pick for the future. Some of the Solheim Cup veterans dealt with injuries or missed time because of pregnancy, and it opened up slots for potential future stalwarts to get experience. Clearly Rhodes is capable of great things, and may be a consistent force on this team in years to come. Maybe alongside her sister Patience, who just had a phenomenal Curtis Cup.
