Yana Wilson, one of the top players on the Epson Tour, is in strong position to win the Epson Tour Championship at -17 for the weekend.
Wilson, who is only 19-years-old, has been a star dating back to her junior days, and her choice to turn professional at such a young age is clearly paying off. Coming into the week, Wilson was No. 2 in the Race for the Card standings behind Melanie Green. She is showing off this week.
Wilson got off to a tough start with a bogey on the first hole, but she recovered quickly. Wilson made birdies on the next two holes and added two more on holes six and nine. She was equally fantastic on the back, making three birdies without any dropped shots.
Wilson has two wins already this season, and has been in fantastic form as of late. In her last four starts on the Epson Tour, Wilson has finished in the top seven every time. Her win early in the season was in her hometown of Las Vegas.
Sophia Schubert is just one stroke back, looking to secure full status for herself. She sits one stroke back at -16. Despite spending some time on the clock Saturday, Schubert managed a -5 round that included an eagle on the par 4 12th.
