It may not be looking good for the United States Ryder Cup team, but the future of American golf may be in good hands as the Junior Ryder Cup team beat Europe 17.5 – 12.5.
The Junior Ryder Cup is played every two years between the United States and Europe, featuring six boys and six girls for each team.
It was the superstar girls who led the way here, Anna Fang and Asterisk Talley, who will be off to Stanford together in two years. Both Talley and Fang went 3-0-1 with singles matches victories. Talley once again showed her incredible ability to play well in big events, and Stanford should be in phenomenal hands with this pairing.
Going into the final round up 10-8, the United States had a fantastic Sunday singles session going 7.5-4.5. Rayee Fang, who came in third at the 2025 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship, had the winning point in a 4&3 victory over Louise Uma Landgraf.
Suzy Whaley, the former president of the PGA of America, was the captain that led the United States to victory.
