The U.S. Women’s Amateur field is down to just four players at Bandon Dunes, with two semifinal matches taking place this morning, followed by the finals tomorrow afternoon. Take a look at the two matchups today here:
10:40 AM pst – Brooke Biermann vs Lyla Louderbaugh
While Brooke Biermann recently played in the U.S. Women’s Open at Erin Hills, I still don’t think many were picking either of these players to make a run to the finals this year. One will still be standing on Sunday afternoon though. Both of these players are ranked outside the top 100 in the WAGR and have fought through some tough results and playoffs to get here.
It would be tempting to say the Cinderella story of Lyla Louderbaugh ends here, but coming off a 20-hole playoff victory where she narrowly held off the top ranked amateur in the world, it feels like she is a pick of destiny.

11:00 AM pst – Ella Scaysbrook vs Megha Ganne
Scaysbrook came into the match play portion of this event as the No. 63 seed out of 64. Now the only person standing in her way to the finals is one of the most popular amateurs in the world, Megha Ganne. Ganne has shown the poise that you would expect from a player who has been in contention at the U.S. Women’s Open, won a National Championship and made it to this semifinal round before in 2019.
Ganne has really looked unflappable this week, never trailing on the back nine after a really good stroke play portion. She’s been the most consistently strong player in the field and this really feels like her time.
