The newest golf video game was released a couple weeks ago, and three LPGA Tour players are included as playable characters.
Brooke Henderson, Lydia Ko and Rose Zhang are playable in the game. All of these picks make sense. All of them are bonafide stars on the tour, with Henderson and Ko both being multiple time major champions, and Zhang being one of the rising stars with two wins in the past two seasons.
2k’s biggest sports competitor, EA, released a golf game a couple of years ago that also featured some playable LPGA Tour players and courses. Evian is one of the available courses, and the roster of players was strong. That game featured Nelly Korda, Jin Young Ko, Lexi Thompson, Danielle Kang and Jessica Korda. That game was released in 2023.
This is an improvement for the 2K video game franchise, which featured no LPGA Tour players in its most recent release before this in 2021.
