This year’s T-Mobile Match Play features a different format from last year, where there was a stroke play element. In 2025, it is only match play with a 64-player field.
Wednesday – Friday feature the group rounds. 16 groups of four have been created based on world rankings. The players will face off against each person in their group, and the player with the best record will advance.
Starting Saturday, there will be a single elimination bracket. That day both the round of 16 and the quarterfinals will be played.
Sunday, the group will be down to four. The semifinals will be played in the morning while the finals are played in the afternoon. There is no third place match.
