I am a true believer that comfortable and stylish golf shoes are the icing on the cake for your total look. There are so many brands to choose from these days, but it’s easy to just stick with the same brand and style that you’ve been wearing for the past several years. I encourage you to step up your shoe game and try a few of my tried-and-true favorites. The technology in women’s golf shoes has come a long way making it possible to have nontraditional looks and colors without sacrificing performance. Some key factors to consider when choosing what works best for you:
Comfort and Fit – Look for cushioned insoles and breathable materials for long hours on the course. Ensure proper fit to avoid blisters. Many brands offer half sizes and multiple width options.
Spiked – Spikes vary quite a bit and have moved from traditional metal to different sizes, shapes, and materials. Because they are designed for higher traction, they offer more stability. It’s good to have a pair of spiked shoes in your closet for wet conditions or uneven terrain.
Spikeless – If you are walking the course, spikeless shoes may be preferable because they are more sneaker-like and put less pressure on your feet. Most brands have spikeless options which are more lightweight and versatile and can double as casual wear.
Weather Resistance – While breathable fabrics are comfortable for everyday wear, having a pair of waterproof shoes is important for all-season play.
