LPGA Hall of Famer Lydia Ko added to her already incredible career resumé with a dominant, four-stroke victory at the 2025 HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore.
Ko’s final round started well, with five pars to open the round. She then birdied the next three holes, all thanks to relatively long putts that hit right in the center of the hole. With those three birdies, she entered the back nine with a commanding four stroke lead.
With top players in the world Jeeno Thitikul and Ayaka Furue continuing to chase, Ko didn’t let her foot off the gas pedal. Despite a bogey on 11, she answered with clutch birdies on 13 and 15 to make the lead insurmountable. Her flashiest birdie of the day came on the par 3 15, where she hit a 40-foot putt.
Furue mounted the most serious charge, but was a bit out of range coming into the final round at five strokes back. For the week Furue hit 50/56 fairways in regulation, but had relative trouble converting them into greens in regulation.
For Thitikul, who tied for second with Furue, this marks 10 consecutive LPGA tournaments finishing inside the top 10. Incredibly, this is also her fifth straight worldwide event finishing in the top three.
Ko now has 23 wins on the LPGA Tour, with Singapore being the eighth country she has won in. Ko moves into second all time in career earnings on tour, only behind Annika Sörenstam.
