Last week, I attended the LPGA Ford Championship in Phoenix, Arizona, it was one of those perfect desert days that reminds you exactly why we love this game. Sunshine, pristine conditions, and some of the most talented women golfers in the world all in one place. I’ll admit it, I was there as a slightly envious spectator. Watching that level of play up close is equal parts inspiring and humbling, but beyond the golf, I had my fashion radar fully on.
With the explosion of new women’s golf brands, each one pushing boundaries with bold prints, elevated tailoring, and fashion-forward silhouettes, I was especially curious to see how that translated on tour. Were the pros embracing this new wave of style? Were we going to see statement looks? Trend-driven outfits? A little edge? Surprisingly… not really. For the most part, the field leaned classic. Clean lines, solid colors, traditional silhouettes. Polished, yes, but also predictable. It was less runway, more uniform.
Player Fit Check
One look that did stand out to me in the best way was Linnea Ström, who was dressed head-to-toe in Adidas.
Her outfit was the perfect example of why the classics still work. She wore the Adidas 365 Ultimate Tour Pleated Skort—at a length that felt just right, offering coverage without sacrificing shape. She paired with the Beyond Color Block Long Sleeve Mock Neck Top.
The overall look was clean, athletic, and completely dialed in for performance. Nothing fussy, nothing distracting just thoughtfully put together and built to move. It’s that effortless balance of comfort and confidence that really resonates, especially when you’re walking 18 and competing at that level.

Another standout for me was Ryann O’Toole, wearing J.Lindeberg.
She absolutely nailed that sporty-meets-sophisticated balance in the classic navy Demi Polo paired with the matching Milly skort. It was one of those looks that doesn’t try too hard but still feels incredibly polished. Clean, tailored, and quietly confident… exactly what you want from a modern golf outfit.
And of course, we can’t pass up the one and only Nelly Korda.
With those long legs and that effortless swing, let’s be honest—she could make just about anything look good. But what I love most is how she leans into simplicity and still manages to make a statement. Nelly chose a sleek, black-on-black look from Nike, wearing the Nike Golf Club Women’s Dri-FIT Golf Shorts paired with a simple long sleeve Dri-FIT Women’s UV Victory top.It was minimal, modern, and completely unfussy yet somehow still commanding. That’s the magic of her style. She doesn’t need bold prints or loud colors… she is the statement.

Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s something to be said for simplicity. When you’re competing at that level, performance is everything. The last thing you want to think about is adjusting an outfit mid-swing or feeling distracted by something that doesn’t move with you.
But it did make me pause. Because off the course, women’s golf fashion is having a major moment.
We’re seeing brands designed for real women with personality, confidence, and style that extends far beyond the fairway. From tailored pieces to bold statements, there’s no shortage of options that blend performance with personality. So why the disconnect? Part of it is sponsorship. Many LPGA players are tied to apparel contracts, often with more traditional athletic brands that prioritize consistency and broad appeal.
What I’d Love to See on Tour Next
As much as I appreciate the polished, athletic looks we’re seeing on the LPGA, I can’t help but want a little more personality out there. Because let’s be honest… women’s golf fashion has evolved way beyond basic. I’d love to see more players step into pieces from the many new brands that have evolved for womens, brands that aren’t afraid to take risks with color, texture, and unexpected details. Think bold piping, statement collars, luxe fabrics, and silhouettes that actually feel current. I’d also love to see more individuality. Not every player needs to go full fashion-forward, but a small signature goes a long way. Whether it’s a go-to color palette, a favorite silhouette, or even how pieces are styled together, those details are what make a look memorable. Because at the end of the day, these women are not just incredible athletes—they’re also representing the future of the game. If the style we’re seeing off the course is any indication…
That future is looking very chic.
