Jenny Shin, the 33-year-old from Korea, has conquered Dundonald Links better than anyone, taking a huge lead into the weekend in Scotland.
At the 2026 Women’s Scottish Open, Jenny Shin has a five-stroke lead over Esther Henseleit, looking at a dominant potential victory.
Shin took the co-lead after 18 holes on Thursday, shooting a -6 66. She was one of the few players to repeat an elite score in the second round, shooting a -5 67.
Shin is walking circles around everyone else in the field, having hit a fantastic 27/36 greens and needing an incredible only 50 putts through the first two rounds. Shin’s approach and putting game have been next level from everyone else playing.
Jenny Shin has only two bogeys on the week and nothing worse than that. That number has been a major boost because of how difficult Dundonald has played, leading to some big scores.
Henseleit sits in second place at -6, playing well enough to secure her spot on the European Solheim Cup team. She had a couple bogeys Thursday but kept a strong, mistake-free card on Saturday to stay in contention.
Major champion A Lim Kim is in third place at -5.
