Heading into the final round of the 2026 Honda LPGA Thailand, world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul has a two stroke lead over Hyo Joo Kim.
Thitikul entered the third round three strokes back of Somi Lee, but wasted no time closing that gap with birdies on the opening two holes. She added birdies on nine and 12 before dropping her only shot of the round on 14.
The top ranked player closed strong though, with birdies on the final three holes of the day to grab the solo lead and a bit of breathing room.
Thitikul flashed a lot of skill on those last three holes, first with a fantastic tee shot on the par 3 16th that gave her a great look, which she converted. On 17, Thitikul showed why she’s arguably the best putter in the world, with a lengthy make. Then on 18, she showed off some chipping skills, almost hitting one in for eagle on the par 5.
It is clear that Thitikul is the home crowd favorite, drawing massive and boisterous crowds all week. Now the pressure of a final round will settle in, as Thitikul looks for her first LPGA Tour win on home soil.
If Thitikul does win, it would be a great sign for the sport, with some of its biggest stars, Nelly Korda and Charley Hull, already taking home trophies in 2026. Now comes a golden opportunity for the best player in the world.
