The Dow Championship is the only partner event on the LPGA Tour schedule, this year being played as always in Midland, Michigan from June 11-14. The first four teams have been announced and include some of the biggest stars on the LPGA Tour.
Somi Lee and Jin Hee Im will return after winning a thriller in 2026 over Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang. It was each of the young South Korean stars’ first win on the LPGA Tour. Lee and Im each finished top 20 in the final CME Standings in 2025 and should make a strong team once again.
2026 will also mark the return of world No. 1 Nelly Korda to the Dow Championship, where she hasn’t played since 2022. Previously in this event, she has played with her sister Jessica, but this time will be teeing it up with good friend Olivia Cowan. Cowan, from Germany, has one Ladies European Tour win but is still looking for her first on the LPGA. It may help being paired with the top ranked player in the world.
Major champions Lydia Ko and Danielle Kang will be back in action as well, playing together here for the fourth time overall and third time in a row. Ko and Kang have combined for 29 career LPGA victories and four major championships. Though Kang’s game isn’t what it once was, this should still be one of the teams with the strongest overall resumés.
Finally, former UCLA Bruins Lilia Vu and Alison Lee will be playing together for the first time. Vu and Lee were one year off from being teammates in Westwood, but were essential figures for the program in a time where it produced a wealth of professional golf talent.
More teams are expected to be announced for the Dow Championship in the next few weeks, stay tuned to WGDNews.com for additional coverage of the Dow Championship.
