Two-time major champion Brooke Henderson had a second strong day in a row to get back to the toward the top of the leaderboard at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions.
Henderson started off the first day with a +1 73 on the easiest day of scoring. She recovered Friday despite tough conditions with a -2 70, thanks to an eagle on the second hole that set the tone.
Saturday, she was in prime form. Henderson hit nine fairways Saturday with 15 greens in regulation and only 27 putts. In general, the putting for Henderson has been stronger than usual, leading to her being -7 for the tournament after a -6 66.
Lake Nona is playing brutally difficult for the best players in the world, so this, along with Nelly Korda’s incredible round, are the clear outliers. The temperature dipped in Orlando to an extreme degree, and the wind was whipping as the day went on.
Henderson found some form at the end of 2025 after a long stretch of poor golf for her standards. Her win in her national open, the CPKC Canadian Open, got her into the field at the Tournament of Champions.
While she is in the top five on the leaderboard at this time, it would be a tall order with Nelly Korda starting to run away with the tournament in one of the most impressive performances in years on the Tour.
