Heading into the weekend at the Dow Championship, the pairing of Polly Mack and Celine Borge lead by one stroke.
Borge and Mack have a good result in this event in the past, finishing third in 2023 before missed cuts the last two seasons. Early in the week, it appeared that would continue.
Borge and Mack made a nine on the third hole of the first round that would seemingly take them out of contention. They certainly stayed with it though, dropping no more shots and having five birdies on the last 15 holes.
They finished that round with a solid -2 68, coming into the day one stroke back.
On Friday, they used their length and added some fantastic play elsewhere to shoot -10 60, including an eagle on that same third hole they had a nine on the previous day.
Borge and Mack, both looking for their first LPGA Tour wins, have a tough leaderboard to contend with, facing many of the biggest stars of the LPGA Tour.
One stroke back is the pairing of major champion Ayaka Furue and Yuna Nishimura. Two back are Olivia Cowan and No. 1 Nelly Korda. Then at -9 are Hye-Jin Choi and Hyo Joo Kim, Chizzy and Aki Iwai and Linn Grant and Maja Stark.
