The fourth major championship of the year is here as the best players on the LPGA Tour and LET head over to France for the Amundi Evian Championship. Here are some of the odds to target and some of the odds to be skeptical of:
Odds to Target –
Hyo Joo Kim (+2,200) – Hyo Joo Kim has been playing so much good golf worldwide, whether it be on the LPGA Tour or the KLPGA Tour, where she is just coming off her second win of the year. She now has four total worldwide wins, bringing her to even with Hannah Green and Nelly Korda. Kim is also a past champion here and fits the profile well of recent winners. I see her as one of the two or three favorites to walk out of here with a win.
Lottie Woad (+2,500) – It feels like a long time since Lottie Woad earned her LPGA Tour card and turned professional after a top-three finish at Evian where she gave it a legitimate run for the win. It was just a year ago but since then, Woad has quickly established herself as one of the best players in the world. She has three total wins, two of which have come on the LPGA Tour, and should enter this year’s Evian with a lot more confidence. This would be a fitting place for one of the games best rising stars to win her first major.
Celine Boutier (+5,500) – I really don’t understand why Boutier’s odds are where they’re at. While her game has been a bit inconsistent this year, this is a past champion playing in her home country, where she will undoubtedly have a ton of support from the crowds. Boutier has still yet to miss a cut in 2026 and despite pretty average performances in the last two majors, she still has a win and a few high finishes. I think these are very good odds to get a player like Boutier at.
Odds to be Skeptical of –
Shiho Kuwaki (+3,500) – For those unfamiliar, Shiho Kuwaki is the next rising star from Japan, who has been playing some downright absurd golf this year on the JLPGA Tour. Kuwaki has two wins and an additional three top-five finishes in her last five starts on the Japanese tour. She has performed well in the majors also, with top 25 finishes at both the KPMG and U.S. Women’s Open. That being said, these odds are a bit aggressive for me toward someone who doesn’t compete consistently on the LPGA Tour.
Gaby López (+2,500) – It has been a pretty unbelievable season for López, who has played a lighter schedule in order to put more focus on the majors. It is working, she has top 12 finishes in all three of them so far this year and was about a centimeter from making it to a playoff at the U.S. Women’s Open. López is no longer a solid underdog performer, she is playing like a flat out star. Will that continue at Evian? I think she can post a high finish, but I am weary of these odds right now.
Nasa Hataoka (+2,800) – This is a case of there simply just being better odds out there. Hataoka has steadied out after a bit of a rough patch, grabbing top-15 finishes in each of the last two majors. She hasn’t really shown too much this season though as far as getting into legitimate win contention.
