Through two rounds at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, it should be no surprise who is setting the pace.
Asterisk Talley, the No. 9 ranked amateur in the world, who came into the week with loads of confidence after an excellent week on the LPGA Tour at the Ford Championship. She sits at -11 currently.
Talley wasted absolutely no time stamping her place into the final round, which will be played Saturday, with birdies on the first three holes of the day. After making 10 pars in a row, she got two more birdies coming in to get to 67. That goes along with her first round 66.
Talley hasn’t made a bogey yet this week, she’s the first player to go bogey free on the first two days since this event was established. Talley now will try to do some damage on Augusta National once again, where she finished runner-up in 2026.
Stanford’s Meja Örtengren and Razorback María José Marín trail Talley by just one stroke, with all three of them being at least four strokes clear of Stanford’s Andrea Revuelta.
The final round of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur kicks off Saturday from Augusta National Golf Club.
