Through three rounds at the JM Eagle LA Championship, the star-studded 2025 rookie class is all over the leaderboard.
Akie Iwai, Ingrid Lindblad, Ina Yoon, Rio Takeda, Miyu Yamashita and Miranda Wang are all in the top 10.
Iwai and Lindblad are tied for the lead at -17 along with Lauren Coughlin. Iwai posted relatively early, shooting an -8 64, and she started early with an eagle on the opening hole. She also made five birdies on the back nine with no bogeys. She hit 12 fairways and 16 greens on the day.
Lindblad was in the final group and did good work to stay at the top of the leaderboard, playing a very aggressive brand of golf. She hit just seven fairways on the round, but turned that into 14 greens in regulation. She made four birdies on the back nine without a bogey.
Coughlin did what she does best, which is grind out fantastic rounds. She looked so solid with her putter, especially on comebackers for par. She made four birdies right away and followed it up with under par scores on 16 and 18.
Lurking not far behind are world No. 1 and 2 Nelly Korda and Jeeno Thitikul. Korda sky-rocketed up the leaderboard with a phenomenal back nine that put her at -14 for the round and three strokes back. Thitikul is right behind at -13.
