The final day of the 2026 Solheim Cup kicks off Sunday morning in the Netherlands. After a thrilling finish to the fourth session, both teams enter tied in a true toss up. Important to note, the United States needs 14 points to retain the cup while Europe needs 14.5 to win it. Here are the predictions for every match:
Match 1 – EUR Charley Hull vs USA Megan Khang
This is a tough one to start with. Both teams are sending out fan-favorite leaders to try and inspire some energy early, but also, neither player has necessarily had the Solheim Cup they were expecting. Khang had great moments in her first session win, but wasn’t quite the same in her loss Saturday. Hull has provided just .5 points. This match will probably decide who the biggest disappointment of the event was. I won’t bet against Hull.
Prediction – Hull wins 3&2
Match 2 – EUR Esther Henseleit vs USA Alison Lee
Henseleit hasn’t performed poorly in the Solheim Cup so far, but she really had some putting issues that let her team down on Saturday morning. That isn’t necessarily a one-off for her either. Alison Lee on the other hand has been the most pleasant surprise for the Americans with a 3-0 record and she got some rest Saturday afternoon. I expect her to continue that hot streak.
Prediction – Lee wins 2&1
Match 3 – EUR Linn Grant vs USA Angel Yin
Don’t think we need to spend too much time here.
Prediction – Grant wins 6&5
Match 4 – EUR Mimi Rhodes vs USA Nelly Korda
If you would’ve told me on Thursday that come Sunday morning, Rhodes would be in better form than Nelly Korda heading into singles, I would’ve said you were crazy. Here we are though, with Rhodes going 2-0 in her first two matches and looking like one of the most clutch players on the team. That being said, she has to face off against the No. 1 player in the world, the most intimidating figure in the game. We will learn a lot about Rhodes in this match, but I do not see her getting it done.
Prediction – Korda wins 3&2
Match 5 – EUR Nanna Koerstz Madsen vs USA Allisen Corpuz
Corpuz hasn’t had her best stuff this week ever since that opening match with Korda, which was admittedly, dominant. She just gets a very favorable matchup against Madsen, who has been the worst player for Europe this week. Corpuz’s calm demeanor should be to her advantage against Madsen, who has shown frustration throughout the weekend.
Prediction – Corpuz wins 3&2
Match 6 – EUR Nastasia Nadaud vs USA Andrea Lee
Some of Nadaud’s heavy momentum was likely stalled in her final fourball match, her first loss of the week. That being said, she has been so impressive and probably gained a lot more fans through her strong play and energy. The Frenchwoman takes on Andrea Lee, a traditionally solid Solheim Cup performer who hasn’t been so strong her last couple matches.
Prediction – Nadaud wins 1UP
Match 7 – EUR Julia López Ramirez vs USA Yealimi Noh
It may not show up in the records, but there is a strong argument that nobody on the American team has been playing better this week than Noh. On the flip side, López Ramirez only played one match and was mostly carried by Carlota Ciganda. There will be some long-hitting here, but I don’t see Noh having much of an issue.
Prediction – Noh wins 4&3
Match 8 – EUR Lottie Woad vs USA Auston Kim
Nobody’s performance this week has been more puzzling than Woad. She got some tough matchups early, but it is easy to see her confidence fading and frustration building throughout the course of the competition. She goes up against Auston Kim, who really saw some confidence building on Saturday. I’ll trust the trending results.
Prediction – Kim wins 2&1
Match 9 – EUR Leona Maguire vs USA Lauren Coughlin
You can’t ask for any more than this, the two best match play specialists on their respective teams, the captains clearly pegged this spot as an important one in the schedule. Both have had good weeks and Coughlin has just one loss in nine-career Solheim Cup matches. I can’t pick a winner here, so I won’t.
Prediction – Tied
Match 10 – EUR Maja Stark vs USA Lindy Duncan
Both of the Swedes should roll in singles.
Prediction – Stark wins 4&3
Match 11 – EUR Carlota Ciganda vs USA Jennifer Kupcho
It is so fitting that this very well could be the deciding match of the Solheim Cup. Normally I would trust Ciganda far more than Kupcho, but the way Kupcho finished Saturday, by nailing two long birdie putts to come back and defeat Ciganda, gives me pause. I think this will be a fiery match that goes back-and-forth, but I do think Ciganda gets some revenge in an instant classic.
Prediction – Ciganda 1UP
Match 12 – EUR Celine Boutier vs USA Rose Zhang
Neither of these two have had great weeks, but have Solheim Cup experience and good match play results. Of the two, Zhang does give me more confidence because she started to flash a bit on Saturday afternoon. That Kupcho and Zhang pairing was just doomed, so it doesn’t move me too much.
Prediction – Zhang wins 3&2
Final Prediction – United States 14.5 – Europe 13.5
